Belgian Red Cross-Flanders, the driving force behind EFAM

Belgian Red Cross-Flanders is taking the initiative in this project. The aim was for 29 experts to set up scientifically-based guidelines for first aid. Belgian Red Cross-Flanders received support from the European Commission for this project.

 

EFAM ensures first aid at the highest level

How to give the best aid in a particular situation? That was the crucial question. Specialist advice and experience was used for this in addition to the scientific studies. These new and scientific rules guarantee better first aid.

EFAM puts together the new guidelines for first aid and resuscitation. EFAM is an electronic book with digital texts and hundreds of high quality photos. The writers of first aid manuals and those responsible for first aid programmes have access to a mine of digital info, both printed and electronic which can be used and included in their own publications.
